The Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) Foundation is delighted to announce its heartfelt appreciation to the Colombo Lodge Society for their generous donation of $25,000 in support of cancer care services at Royal Inland Hospital. This generous contribution reflects the Colombo Lodge’s steadfast commitment to the community’s health and well-being.

The Colombo Lodge Society, a volunteer-based organization founded in 1914, has been an integral part of Kamloops for over a century. They have consistently demonstrated their dedication to supporting local initiatives and providing assistance to special relief efforts, both nationally and internationally. Over the course of their history, the Colombo Lodge Society has raised over $4 million in funds to uplift and empower this community.

In 2019, the Colombo Lodge Society set an ambitious goal of raising $50,000 to bolster cancer care services in Kamloops. Recently, the Colombo Lodge Society came significantly closer to reaching this goal after successfully raising $25,000 at their inaugural Spring Fling banquet held on March 11, 2023.

Looking ahead, the Colombo Lodge Society is excited to continue their philanthropic endeavors. The next Spring Fling event is scheduled for April 13, 2024, and their society looks forward to raising another $25,000, if not more. Details about ticket availability and event specifics will be shared on their website, www.colombolodge.com, in the coming months.

The RIH Foundation extends its sincerest thanks to the Colombo Lodge Society for their inspiring generosity and unwavering dedication to improving cancer care services at Royal Inland Hospital. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of patients and families in our community.
