Every year, donations to the Foundation fund priority equipment throughout the hospital. By donating to our area of greatest need, you are also giving the hospital the flexibility to use your gift in a way that will have an immediate impact on patient care and the medical team’s ability to deliver the highest quality care possible.

Priority-need equipment can range from monitors and defibrillators in the Emergency Department to state-of-the-art surgical tools for the Operating Room. As an acute care hospital that offers 24/7 care to adults, seniors and children, Royal Inland Hospital requires a wide variety of medical equipment for the thousands of patients that rely on us for care every year. The Operating Room, Cancer Clinic, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Laboratory, Medical Imaging and Cardiac Care Units are just a few examples of the departments at RIH that benefit from our highest priority need funding every year.

A gift to our area of greatest need allows the hospital to be nimble – particularly during this challenging time. Until a COVID-19 vaccination is developed, RIH will continue to operate with additional safety measures in place to protect both patients and the frontline staff. This means more personal protective gear and more medical equipment is needed throughout the hospital.
