ROYAL INLAND HOSPITAL FOUNDATION HOSTS HOLIDAY EDITION OF #SHARPDRESSEDSATURDAY ON DECEMBER 5, 2020

As a result of the huge success of previous #SharpDressedSaturday events, the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) Foundation, in partnership with BCLC, is proud to present the next #SharpDressedSaturday – this time with a holiday twist, on December 5, 2020. All proceeds from this event will again support RIH’s COVID-19 response. While the holiday season will look different this year, the RIH Foundation is offering an exciting and creative way for the community in Kamloops to come together virtually to share a meal and show its support for healthcare workers. Now, more than ever, it is important that we all follow the physical-distancing directions issued by the Provincial Health Officer. #SharpDressedSaturday is the perfect way to celebrate safely. From now until December 4, 2020, Kamloops residents can purchase a ticket, which costs $110 and includes all the ingredients and step-by-step instructions to cook a delicious four-course meal for 2, prepared by Earls Kitchen + Bar. For an extra $40, diners can also purchase a cocktail package. All ingredients can be picked up from Earls on December 5, 2020, and the meal can be prepared when it is convenient. As with previous events, participants can log onto the Facebook and Instagram live events, which will run from 5-9 PM, to enjoy their meals with others virtually. To complete the experience, participants are encouraged to dress in festive attire! “Thanks to the support from BCLC and the participation of Earls Kitchen + Bar, we are able to continue offering the very popular #SharpDressedSaturday,” said Heidi Coleman, CEO of the RIH Foundation. “The COVID-19 pandemic has been challenging for everyone. Being able to socialize safely at home while still being part of a larger event that connects the community is important for our mental health. We also appreciate being able to raise money to support our healthcare team and the hospital.” “BCLC is proud to partner with RIH Foundation for a third #SharpDressedSaturday and we are thrilled to rally the community once again to show our support for our healthcare heroes,” said BCLC’s Chief Social Purpose Officer and VP of Player Experience, Peter ter Weeme. “By supporting this event you help ensure our hospital has the equipment and tools needed to provide the best possible care for our community.” The event will also feature a raffle for a one-night stay at Sparking Hill Resort & Spa and a social-media photo contest for a Jardines gift certificate. The Foundation will announce all winners on social media during the event. Tickets for #SharpDressedSaturday are available at https://trellis.org/sharpdressedsaturdayholiday
