$15,013 DONATED TO RIHF IN CELEBRATION OF 550TH ANNIVERSARY OF BIRTH OF GURU NANAK

In celebration of the 550th anniversary of the birth of Guru Nanak – the Sikh religion’s founder and first guru, who was born in 1469 in what is now modern-day Pakistan – members of the Sikh Cultural Society of Kamloops have raised $15,013 for the Guru Nanak fund with the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation. In the past, the fund has supported various causes including the MRI Campaign, the Tele-imaging Network, the Cancer Campaign, the Cardiac Care Centre, Neuro-Diagnostics and Rehabilitation Medicine. Established in 2003, the Society has raised more than $180,000 for RIHF.

Many thanks to the Sikh Cultural Society of Kamloops and to all the individuals and organizations who donated to this worthwhile cause.
