Gifts in Memory of a Loved One or Friend

In sympathy, your memorial gift will show a loving concern for the health of all who look to Royal Inland Hospital for care—now and in the future. Memorial gifts are used to help fund patient care equipment, facility renovations and other special programs that promote health care excellence in our region.

Acknowledgement

Each memorial gift received by the Foundation will be acknowledged in the following ways:

  • Memorial gifts will be announced by way of a special letter expressing sympathy and informing the surviving family. The amount of your gift is not mentioned, but in a dignified message, the recipient learns of your thoughtful gift in support.

In addition:

  • Each year the Foundation publishes, in its Annual Report, the names of all individuals for whom a memorial fund has been established.
  • Gifts in memory of a loved one may qualify for special recognition on the Royal Inland Memorial Wall. The Memorial Wall will be updated by the Foundation twice per year in December and June.

The Royal Inland Hospital Memorial Wall

A glass pane on the new Memorial Wall will honour loved ones who have passed away and serve as a lasting memorial. This artistic creation includes stained glass windows by a local artist and is located on the new 2nd floor corridor of Royal Inland Hospital. A variety of panes are available and the name of a loved one may be placed on the Wall with donations ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 or more. Donated funds are used to purchase new equipment for Royal Inland. Specific details are available at the Foundation Office.

To make a gift in memory of someone, or to set up a memorial fund for a loved one, please call the Foundation at 314-2325.

The new Memorial Wall is our way of expressing appreciation to our many supporters. The Wall is funded with gifts-in-kind and interest income earned on Foundation investments so that donor contributions can be directed to patient care equipment and other high priority needs of the Hospital.
