The Royal Inland Hospital Foundation (RIHF) is committed to carrying on the tradition of raising funds for crucial patient care equipment, students studying health sciences, grants to regional healthcare facilities and other special programs that will help Royal Inland provide the finest care possible for you, your family and friends, both now and in the future.

Where We Are Headed: RIHF Vision

Excellence in healthcare in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap (TCS) region is enhanced through community engagement with RIHF fund development activities. The Foundation engages and inspires communities as partners in the future of healthcare at Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) and in the programs and services provided in the Strategic Partner locations across TCS.

To Realize Our Vision, Here’s What We Are Going to Do: RIHF Goals and Objectives

RIHF promises to engage and inspire communities across the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap (TCS) region through fundraising activities and events in support of excellence in healthcare.

Our strategic pillars are as follows:

1. Revenue Development and Diversification

RIHF will increase revenues from Annual Giving and Events, Major Gifts and Planned Giving, Strategic Partnerships, and Endowment Building opportunities.

Goal: RIHF is the leader and premier choice for philanthropic gifts for healthcare projects, programs and services at Royal Inland Hospital or at the Foundation’s Strategic Partner locations in the Thompson Cariboo Shuswap region.

2. Stakeholder Stewardship

RIHF will utilize appropriate and meaningful recognition vehicles to steward the contributions from stakeholders.

Goal: RIHF engages and recognizes the contributions of stakeholders and facilitates investments in both short and long term healthcare projects and services in the TCS region.

3. Public Awareness and Communications

RIHF will identify and secure public awareness opportunities which inform and engender dialogue with individuals across the TCS region ensuring that the projects and services which require funding are known.

Goal: The RIHF brand is effectively and coherently communicated to both internal and external constituents resulting in an enhanced brand experience.

4. Administration and Finance

RIHF will adhere to all legislated regulations governing non-profit management.

Goal: RIHF conducts all operations in compliance with governing policies and procedures mandated through legislation and Board policy.

5. Quality/Standards

RIHF will engage in a wide range of reviews to ensure that the Foundation’s operations are efficient and effective.

Goal: RIHF conducts its primary business in line with accepted return on investment ratios, expense to revenue ratios, and best practices within healthcare philanthropy.
